FDEP010__Metaphase • Rude Skank EP • 5/15

METAPHASE out of Los Angeles, CA by way of Las Vegas, NV introduces his first release on Filthy Digital entitled the RUDE SKANK EP. A long history of quality productions in various genres and representing a large list of labels and companies, this long-time professional drummer is on the rise in the electronic dance music community. He's had remix duties for top producers Mark Instinct on the Sketchy Maxx RMX EP as well as Richie August on the Betamorphosis Vol.3 compilation.

Rude Skank starts off with a notable classic feel that builds into a supreme skanking drop, accompanied by pulsating bass and groovy synths that will get the ladies bouncing off the speakers. Brass Tacks brings dope vibes straight from the get-go, seductive female echoes, distorted bass stabs, low end classic bass roll that drops grimey with a heavy DnB feel. Smog Check the original by JSuave had dark and mystic melodies that left you in a dense fog and this version is a definite proper interpretation of a Filthy classic. Hard as nails, gut-wrenching, physical bass destruction is the tone on this RMX as Metaphase puts the dancefloor vibes into full gear on this one. Closing out this well-rounded EP is Antimatter which switches up the pace with soothing, steppy melodies and potent wind ups. This EP is seeing support from a long list of heavy hitters in the community and shaping up to be an instant classic.

[4/20] - FD025 - CAUSTIK/HD4000 - Herbman

Caustik from St.Louis, MO and HD4000 out of Bakersfield, CA are no strangers to the Filthy Digital imprint. Previous Filthy releases in early 2009 absolutely tore up the dance, and a bootleg release Ludafilth dropped some serious science. This time around they've joined forces on another release entitled, Herbman.

Caustik creates an irie ambiance on the intro with Jamacian vocals snippets and reggae style guitar chords that forges into a smoked out drop that continues with the Jamacian keynote. The VIP is slightly more dubbed out on the intro with delayed drums and keen fills. A vocal hook gets introduced part-way through the drop that makes the VIP a sure floor champion. To round out the release HD4000 bring their signature sound to the plate. A wicked rendition of the Caustik original with phatty drums on the intro, incoming automated vocal and blazing stabs. All of these tunes are sure to bring the masses together at your party, rave or local club night. Massive respects out to Caustik and HD4000 for another smoking release!

BUKKHA - Murdah Style EP

Bukkha hails from Pearland, Texas via Louisiana and is on a tear as of late. With releases on highly respected labels Betamorph, Code of Arms andStupid Fly, expect big things from this up-and-coming producer. Fresh off his release w/ BMC on Dirty Circuit Records and currently touring in support of: The F8 EP which is top quality listening for any dubstep advocate out there. Next up for this badman is his highly anticipated, highly appraised Murdah Style EP on Filthy Digital Recordings. Dubbed out scenery, deep reggae bass is the tone for Armageddon with sleek delayed drums, inviting hooks and pleasing vibes. Be on the lookout for the official 'Armageddon' video coming soon. Grimace featuring Juxta picks up the pace with fierce bass and rolls out with heavy saw execution. Blackheart's Shots Fired RMX twists it up with gunblasts, arcane synths and sirens that takes you on a unique venture. Esoteric drops with powerful force and gets you moving with it's hip synth wobble stabs and keen robotic samples. To close out the EP, Bukkha takes us to the deeper side of the sound with A Dub Called Further. Reminiscent of classic dub riddims this tune takes you on a blessed adventure, a perfect closer for an amazing showcase of mastery. Bukkha is seeing support from some of the industries finest including Kozee, Mark Instinct, SNF, Bakir, Metaphase and Jazzsteppa. Be sure to scoop up the Murdah Style EP March 29, 2010 on Filthy Digital Recordings.

Filthy Biz Yo! The Best Of Filthy LP [FDLP004]

Since origin in December of 2008, Filthy Digital Recordings has been on the forefront of the stateside dubstep scene supporting original sounds and many up & coming producers. Year One at Filthy has brought forth a multitude of solid productions to be showcased on the 'Best Of' release. These sounds were inspired across the globe and put many of the featured producers on the map. This LP consists of top selling hits, fan favorites, and deep, filthy riddims from some of dubstep's biggest names, as well as 2 brand new stompers from Kirkus and SymbL.

Filthy Digital was our dear friend, Mike 'Honcho' Wilson's dream. Today we continue to keep it alive by setting the standards that we like to call, 'Honcho Approved.' Big thanks to Chefugee, Dodger, Dub-A-Tak, Violet Gray, SymbL, and the entire Filthy family for their continued dedication, hard work, and support. Mike would be proud, big up!
